Security
Hookflash has worked with some high profile clients in the Cyber Security space. Historical PCI-DSS experience and recent exposure to incident remediation projects has allowed Hookflash to manage successful Cyber Security projects. Hookflash is currently focused on projects involving highly secure hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastrcuture . 
ABOUT HOOKFLASH
Hookflash was started by Noel Villeneuve in 2010 as the kick off to his Project Management journey. After many years in the technical realm, Noel shifted to Telecommunications Opertions Management and  eventually IT Operations Management. In these roles Noel ran many projects and in turn discovered this as the confluence of all his IT experience and passion to that point. After managing many large scale projects and programs over the last 8 years, Noel has honed a unique and effective apporach to projects and teams and continues to bring those services to many large companies in the British Columbia Lower Mainland.

  1. 1993-2005
    Senior Technical Specialist - Telecommunications and IT
    Extensive technical experience ranging from Telecom systems installation, wiring and programming to Microsoft and Linux server administration. By having a technical foundation, the ability to manage IT Teams and Infrastructure comes from a place of understanding. Knowing about the nuances of doing things right the first time with careful planning and efficient methods allows for higher rates on success in high pressure scenarios.
  2. 2005-2010
    Operations Management - Telecommunications and IT
    Telecom Operations and IT Operations Management experience has embedded the importance of proactive planning when managing IT systems and teams. Security, capacity planning, monitoring, system patching, disaster recovery planning and cross training tight knit teams are all foundational to successful and efficient IT teams. When dealing with globally dispersed infrastructure, knowing what you need to do, before you need to do it, is key to maximizing uptime and in turn supporting the business you've built for.

    Project Management success has come from the culmination of Technical and IT Management experience leveraged to deliver business value from IT projects. Having run projects that range from small infrastructure upgrades, to global refreshes of technologies across vast geographic locations, a finely tuned set of project management principles have been honed. With an in-depth understand of the PMI processes and concepts, along with grass roots methods and approaches, Project Management has become Hookflash's specialty and IT "sweet spot".
RECENT PROJECTS
  1. Cyber Security Program
    Cyber Security Program
    Managed multiple remediation projects after a Cyber Security incident at a large mining client. Worked with the Microsoft, Technical Vendors and Internal Teams to assess, plan and remediate numerous aspects of the client's environment to reduce the likelihood of a subsequent breach. The team implemented solutions including MFA, PAW, Credential Theft avoidance, Server and Workstation hardening, Server modernization and encryption solutions.
  2. Cisco UC Global Deployment
    Cisco UC Global Deployment
    Managed a "united nations" project team for a global deployment of the entire Cisco UC suite of tools and solutions. The team built out centralized UC cores in three global regions and then went on to implement the new solution across 6 mine sites and 12 offices world wide. Through earthquakes, delayed flights and weather of every variety, the team delivered successfully while maintaining the health and safety of both our team and the people relying on the technology we were providing.
  3. Contact Center Deployment
    Contact Center Deployment
    On behalf of one of our customers we travelled to Manilla to assess and then design an overseas contact centre. The situation was unique in that we needed to maintain the data and core IT systems in Canada. Leveraging VMware VDI, DS3 Connectivity and the Philippine contact centre technology, we were able to build a successful solution on behalf of the customer. The solution ran for many years and met the cost reduction targets driving the project.
